A family in Kisii county has been thrown into mourning following the death of their university son in Kakamega county.

Facebook user Peter Hezy Peter was found dead in his room after suffering a terrible heartbreak from his serious girlfriend.

The student at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) is believed to have died after the lady told him she was no longer interested in their relationship.

Rodgers Otiso narrated that according to Peter’s close friend and classmate, Churchill Kipkoech, Peter failed to attend class on Friday, November 21, something that was highly unusual for him.

“Concerned by Peter’s absence, a group of close friends visited his residence. They found the doorfastened with a stick, which forced them to push it open. Inside, they were met with the devastating sight of Peter’s lifeless body, showing signs of self-strangulation using a rope,” he said.

Before his death, the 22-year-old had shared a worrying Facebook post alluding to heartbreak.

Many commented on the post, attempting to console him and understand what he was going through.

One of Peter’s friends reached out on WhatsApp, asking what was wrong and hoping to help. Peter responded that they would talk later, as he was in a bad state, but they never communicated again.

“Churchill added that a day before the incident, Peter had shared troubling posts on his Facebook and WhatsApp statuses, expressing regret about being in a relationship.

Churchill responded to the status asking what was wrong, but Peter never replied, the message remained greyed out until his death. It is alleged that Peter had recently suffered heartbreak linked to a love triangle, which friends believe may have contributed to the tragedy,” Otiso added.

Police have launched investigations into the incident, while the university is yet to issue an official communication.

A pastor based in the capital city of Kenya; Nairobi has been left in a sorrowful mood as his friend who even acted as his bestman during his wedding has snatched away his wife.

Pastor Gilbert Manyasi recounted how he was initially happy to meet a woman who was deeply committed to the church.

To him, his now ex wife was a loving woman, rooted in Christian values, and she was also part of the praise and worship team.

The couple fell in love, began dating, and looked forward to tying the knot one day. They visited each other occasionally to keep the flame of their relationship alive.

However, in 2019, Manyasi found a disturbing text message sent to Brenda by another man.

She came to visit me. A man called her, but she didn’t answer. I then saw the texts between them, with the man expressing how much he had missed her. He called her ‘babe’ and asked where she was,” the pastor shared.

He admitted to confronting her about the issue, but she did not respond and instead went to bed. The next morning, she left the house and returned three days later with her brother-in-law to pick up some of her belongings.

Manyasi thought the relationship was over, until three months later when she returned, claiming she was pregnant with his child.

Despite not knowing where Brenda had been during their three-month separation, Manyasi welcomed her back and accepted the child as his own, as they had been involved sexually.

Life seemed to settle for the couple as the father of one continued with his pastoral duties and even opened his own church. They eventually officially married in December 2021.

As time went by, their love deepened, and they became a happy family of three. In an effort to empower Brenda, Manyasi encouraged her to return to school.

She took a short course in 2022 and was fortunate to secure a job as a sales agent after graduation.

“In 2022, she got a job as a sales lady. She was earning something, and that’s when life changed and problems began,” he shared.

According to Pastor Manyasi, Brenda began staying out late, returning home without explanation, and often denying him conjugal rights.

Her fashion sense changed, and she started talking to other men, claiming they were “just friends.” At this point, Manyasi had enough and sought help from their best couple to intervene and mediate their issues.

However, the situation took a turn when Brenda accused him of physically abusing her. Sadly, the best couple sided with Brenda, demanding that Manyasi apologise for his actions.

“She cried and told them that I wasn’t paying rent, buying food, and that if she failed to cater for those bills, I would beat her every day. She even claimed I threatened to kill her and said I was demanding dowry from her parents,” he explained.

Despite the false claims, Manyasi apologised and even called Brenda’s parents to seek forgiveness for asking for dowry.

His goal was to restore peace and ensure their child was well cared for by both parents. However, this did not resolve their marital issues.

Brenda began sleeping in the sitting room and stopped serving in her husband’s church.

“When she was asked why she wasn’t attending her own husband’s church, she claimed I locked her in the house and warned her not to attend services,” he said.

A few weeks later, Brenda packed her belongings, took their child, and moved into their best man’s house.

According to Manyasi, the best man’s wife worked in a different county and was rarely at home, leaving Brenda alone with him.

This is how their relationship reportedly began. “I called the pastor who officiated our wedding and explained what was happening, but he dismissed me.

He said they were handling other things and I should speak to the best man to resolve the issue,” Manyasi recalled.

A heartbreaking story from Nigeria confirms the death of a a 17-year-old girl, identified as Sarah Aghahowa who was allegedly poisoned to death by her stepmother.

According to a viral Facebook post by Emenaha Chizoba Miracle, the young girl’s tragic death occurred on October 21, 2025, shortly after she gained admission to study psychology at the university of Delta State.

In the post, Emenaha Chizoba Miracle alleged that the stepmother poisoned Sarah, leading to her untimely death.

The police have since arrested Sarah’s step mother, as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the poisoning.

“She had just been admitted to the university. Everyone was happy for her, we never thought such evil could come from someone so close,” one resident reportedly told newsmen.

A Kenyan family has been thrown into mourning after their daughter died just less than 24 hours after her beautiful graduation ceremony from nursing school.

The lovely lady identified as Charity Chebet had just graduated in a lovely ceremony attended by her parents when she tragically met her death in a landslide after returning home.

Speaking to NTV Uganda, a family member said he called Charity’s parents on Friday at around 10pm and they informed him that they were on their way home after the graduation.

“They had gone to Mulago Hospital for the graduation of their daughter. When I called him, they had crossed Jinja at around 10.pm. However, this morning at 6am, I received a call from one of the clan members who told me there had been a disaster,” he said.

Charity’s elderly parents survived the horrific landslide and were rushed to the hospital, whereas the graduate and her sibling were found dead after the disaster struck.

Sadly, this occurred less than 24 hours after she received her diploma in nursing and midwifery.

The landslide occurred on early Saturday, November 1, in Kapchorwa District in Uganda, leaving four people dead, including Charity and her sibling.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi North, Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, has been barred by the court from leaving the Greater Accra Region without prior notification to investigators as part of his bail conditions.

The directive forms part of a set of restrictions imposed on the legislator following his alleged involvement in the Hwidiem galamsey clash, which has attracted national attention.

Mr. Addo appeared before the court on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, where he was granted bail of GH¢150,000.

The court further ordered him to report to investigators once every two weeks until further notice or the commencement of the trial.

He faces provisional charges of assault on a public officer, unlawful damage, and rioting with weapons.

Presiding over the case, the court cautioned the MP against any conduct that could frustrate or interfere with ongoing investigations.

The prosecution, led by Chief Inspector Alex Odonkor, told the court that the case had assumed a national dimension and was now under the jurisdiction of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters.

Chief Inspector Odonkor argued that, due to the MP’s position and influence, there was a risk of interference with witnesses or tampering with evidence.

He also cited viral videos on social media purportedly capturing moments from the incident, which investigators are currently analyzing.

Counsel for the MP opposed the prosecution’s request for remand, insisting that Mr. Addo was entitled to the constitutional presumption of innocence.

The defence emphasized that the legislator had a newborn baby and maintained a permanent residence in Accra, assuring the court of his full cooperation with the investigation process.

The court granted bail under strict conditions, emphasizing that the MP must comply fully with the restrictions placed upon him.

Mr. Addo is expected to reappear in court on December 1, 2025, while other suspects, including Zakaria Yakubu and one Alex, remain at large.
